The Actuarial Contact Program, ACP , was established in 1989, within the framework of Leuven Research and Development (LRD), the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office of KU Leuven Association. ACP is a cooperation between the KU Leuven actuarial research group and some Belgian insurers. The goal of ACP is to build bridges and intensify contacts between both parties. This goal is achieved by introducing recent actuarial / financial research developments to actuarial staff of industry members, and coaching actuaries of ACP members in learning and implementing these new developments. Covered topics in regular meetings include life, non-life and financial mathematics. These topics are chosen based on the research interests of the academic participants and in consultation with the industry partners. The current industry partners are AG Insurance and KBC. The academic partner is Jan Dhaene.
